Physical therapy can be an important part of your medical care. By participating in physical therapy, you will learn exercises that are beneficial for gaining function, reducing stress, relieving discomfort, and preventing disability or future injury. Our therapists understand the importance of your independence. They are dedicated to helping you reduce your limitations and return you to the activities that are THE most important to you.
Our physical therapy team share a special story that makes them unique to CPC Multi-Specialty Group. In 2003, a 14-year-old girl walks into a PT clinic, scared, with a torn ACL. She was not able to have surgery because she was too young. The young girl was Katie Yearwood. One of her therapists was Kim Weissend. Kim, along with other therapists, and Katie worked together to make her knee strong enough to continue with athletics and school activities.
In 2005, CPC physicians and other local physicians invested in a physical therapy clinic where Kim Weissend was also an investor. Brandy Gammon soon became a valuable part of the PT team. In 2006, that same young lady, Katie, has her ACL surgery. That same scared, sweet girl trying to be tough, working through the pain with Brandy and Kim as her therapists. All the time we were treating her, never knowing how we were impacting her young life.
Our path separated in 2014, we all went in different directions. Kim went to another facility. Brandy went into home health. Katie graduated from UAB with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree.
In 2022, CPC Multi-Specialty Group and Kim Weissend joined forces, bringing the team together again. This time with Katie Yearwood Hubinger as the Physical Therapist, and Brandy and Kim as the Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants. In comes Madison Bishop, the receptionist, and the heartbeat of our clinic. Madison joins the team as if she were born to be part of our story.
If feels like family in our clinic and you will feel it too. Our team works very well together, and their passion is caring for each patient individually. Each therapist has specialties and strengths that are unique to CPC Physical Therapy. When you see your physician, chose CPC Physical Therapy for the results you want, the care you deserve.
